Pi and Kuhn Do this Again Meme

You guys remember this? Back when I had first gotten onto Deviantart, I had a series related to my name. I was in the habit of drawing .hack//gu couples. Since it's been forever since I've actually drawn anything .hack related, I figured I'd re-vamp an old drawing and do a comparison. Fairly big change, huh?

The first one was done May of 2008, and was back when I was still learning. I didn't get anatomy, shading, or photoshop. I was REALLY new at photoshop, so I'd just take a drawing and randomly color it. It was rare for me to look at a reference for long. Even so, it would still take me a few hours just to do that. Not like it made a difference, since my characters weren't much more than skeletons.

The second one was done February of 2012. This one is actually a complete restructuring of the first, merely turning the first into a skeleton and starting from there. For modesty's (and ease of drawing) sake, I downsized Pi's breasts, but kept her hips the right size body-wise. OF course, i forgot that her armor made her hips look wider, so now she looks totally ridiculous. I also implemented some lazy shading, but with a new hair-coloring style. I do like that style, btw. Total, this took about the same time as the first. Crazy, huh?

Opinion time:
1) Which do you like more?
2) Should I post the second as it's own deviation, or leave it as is?
3) I have two more of these oldies that need some re-vamping, or I'll just lead them to fade away. Anyway, should I redo them in a similar style, too? (sure, it adds some stuff to my already full plate, but it's so satisfying to see the progression {however small or large} that I've made.) They are here: [link] and [link]
